Shamir Patel

Dr. Patel has a sub-specialty in musculoskeletal radiology, covering all modalities of diagnostic radiology as they pertain to the diagnosis of orthopedic, rheumatologic, and oncologic diseases of bones, joints, and soft tissues.

Dr. Patel has a special interest and active participation in research projects in the area of sports medicine, specifically related to the radiological diagnosis and image-guided treatment of sports injury in high-level athletes. He has an academic appointment with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary and is actively involved in musculoskeletal radiology research and residency training.
